The following information is provided for students currently admitted to the 5-Year Departmental Scholar B.S./M.S Program.
As a Departmental Scholar, there are three different counselors who can help you navigate the program and requirements.
Vacant (Message Center): The CaSB Program Coordinator & Academic Counselor will continue to be your main contact for any CaSB undergrad requirements, substitutions, etc. They will also be your main contact for M.S. program requirements (master’s thesis, program planning, substitutions, etc.).
Angel Perez (firstname.lastname@example.org): Angel is the Departmental Scholars Coordinator in the Honors Programs office and oversees all DSP programs. He is the contact for any questions about the DSP program in general, College requirements, increasing your unit maximum, removing an enrollment lock, etc. The CaSB Departmental Counselor may refer you to Angel as needed.
Gene Gray (email@example.com): Gene is the Bioinformatics Graduate Counselor and advises on some of the more difficult questions that come up regarding DSP. He also helps process some of the forms you will submit as a DSP student. The CaSB Departmental Counselor may refer you to Gene as needed.
