Academic Advising Schedule and Information(Effective FALL 2025):

In-Person Drop-in Window

Day and Time: Mondays, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Where: Hershey Hall 101

Starting FALL 2025, CaSB will offer in-person drop-in advising. The drop-in session will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM every Monday, provided the CaSB advisor is available. If CaSB will not be offering drop-ins on a given Monday, then a cancellation announcement will be made via BruinLearn. When students arrive for drop-ins, they can find a purple QR code in the waiting room(Hershey Hall 100). Please scan the purple QR code to sign up for the drop-in session.

Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM; 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Remote)

Thursday: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM; 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Remote)
Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM (Remote)

Considerations for Advising Appointments:

If, for any reason, you prefer a phone appointment, please specify “Phone Appt” in the “Description” section when booking a remote appointment. 

Appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes, but may last up to 30 minutes. 

Please be mindful of other students when booking appointments and, if needed, please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 2 hours in advance so another student can have your time slot.

Please be on time for appointments. If you are more than 5 minutes late, your appointment will be considered a “No-Show” and you will need to reschedule. If a student misses (or cancels with less than 2 hours’ notice) three or more appointments in a quarter, students will lose access to the online booking system and will have to email the counselor to set up an appointment.

CaSB only has one Academic Advisor, so it can be difficult to find an appointment during high-volume times of the quarter. This includes when enrollment opens for a quarter and the weeks leading up to finals. If an urgent appointment is needed, the CaSB advisor will NOT make exceptions to book 1:1 advising appointments to meet with students. It is the responsibility of the student to meet with the CaSB academic advisor during the virtual drop-in window OR to book a 1:1 appointment with the CaSB academic advisor. 

CaSB Undergrad BRUIN LEARN Page: Effective Winter 2023, this is the primary method of mass communication for the CaSB Undergraduate Office. The BRUIN LEARN forums are used to inform current students.

You will receive email alerts when a new message is posted to BRUIN LEARN. If you want to view past announcements, you can log in to the site and view the forum using your UCLA login and password. Note that email notifications will be sent to the email address that you have on file on your student record.
